- Telegram is basically a cloud based quick messaging application which allows users to send text messages, videos, images and other documents format along with video and voice call services. It was originally launched in 2013 by Pavel durov with his brother Nikolai.
- This Application has over 200 million downloads. The number could rise in the future. This application provides outstanding data security and makes an extra effort to preserve the user’s privacy.
- The most frequently used messaging app on the planet that is WhatsApp with his new owner Mark Zuckerberg, the mastermind of Facebook, recently acquired this app. The Cambridge Analytica data breach sparked a firestorm of controversy.
- What’s App’s security terms have become a menace to users. In spit of the the controversy, WhatsApp continues to be one of the most popular chat messengers. The straight forward user interface and conveniences of use in day to day life attracts people instantly.
What Are The Similarities Between WhatsApp And Telegram?
- WhatsApp and Telegram, like most messaging systems, offer similar capabilities including instant messaging and picture-in-picture viewing, as well as stickers and other cosmetic options.
- Both messaging application provide cloud synchronization capabilities, memory use managers, and built-in image compression and editing features. When it comes to the internet, the most annoying part of visiting any website or using any application is the advertisements, which make it very annoying for the user; however, when it comes to WhatsApp, the user does not face such difficulty because there are currently no advertisements to ruin the experience.

Telegram VS WhatsApp (My Personal Opinion)
Groups in Telegram are ideal for massive online educational seminars and movie libraries. Telegram is my go-to app when I need to receive or transmit a large file. It’s been a long time since I’ve had to update my Telegram app, which is really rewarding. On certain days, however, my regular WhatsApp updates make me roll my eyes. I dislike how Telegram notifies my contacts of my presence. I like how I can post several WhatsApp status updates.
Telegram and What’s App have their advantages and disadvantages: both are free instant messaging apps that have provided amazing ad-free platforms for users all over the world to communicate, and their founders have done an excellent job.
In the end it’s entirely up to the users what application he should use, As everyone has their own different likes and requirements.
Telegram is best for Groups, Channels and Gif.
WhatsApp is best for people who like simple User Interface.
